         WHY BOOKS ARE BETTER THAN                   MOVIES  

Hey you stop what you're doing right now  Hi my name is Jasmine and i feel extremely confident that books are better. Than movies, you may not agree but that’s fine i’m just here to tell you that books are better than movies it doesn't matter if you agree or disagree anyways on to my reasons. 

Many movies that are made, have come from amazing books - like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and many many more. Most people know that when you read the book, the book is so much better than the movie.

 In my opinion reading a book helps you stay focused.and when you read a book you  get  hooked straight away. 

Next : books have new words that you don’t even  know that existed  when i read a book i learnt new words in that book like eliminated or satisfied or even world domination.  That's what I learned from a book if I learnt something from a book, so can you guys.

Most importantly  when you read a book you can use your imagination. Oh and if you read a book you can imagine something like a shooting star, a volcano erupting or even candy land.  well it’s all what the book is about anyways if you watch a movie it’s usually nothing like you imagined in the book.  

Many people believe that books give you knowledge so you can get all of those new facts in your head.  In fact : without books your brain will not be working right now  but with books that is how your brain is working right now.  When you read a book you can learn about different planets and Countries and different Oceans or different animals.  Here is a little story for you… My principal told me that when she was a kid somebody told her that books give you knowledge… and knowledge gives you POWER!   So don’t you guys want power?

 if you still like movies more just at least read a book that you think is for you i promise you you'll love that book so i suggest you find a book that you like so you can read it more

 oh and go to the library there are heaps of books there, and guess what they are FREE!!!! Did you know that kids can get a library card for free and take out heaps of books??? some books might be your type so go to the library and find a book that you love like a world book or an art book or an old book about world war one or two.

If you go to a movie each week you could spend $416 on movies for one year….that is soooo much MONEY!  If you want to waste your money go ahead   but I’m going to read a book for free.

Lastly  if you look at a screen for too long  it can damage your eyesight and you can get digital eye strain.  Does that sound good to you????
